We're Building Holsters for the Canik Prime Radian
The Canik Prime Radian has been out since May, and it did not take long to figure out why people are excited about it. A compensated micro-compact with 17+1 capacity, an optics-ready slide, and Radian Weapons engineering built into the barrel — that's not a spec sheet you see on a sub-$900 pistol very often. We said as much back when Radian and Canik first announced the partnership at SHOT Show, and now that the gun is actually in people's hands, we're ready to say the next part out loud: Tulster is building a full holster lineup for the Prime Radian, and pre-orders are now open. Save 20% when you pre-order your Canik Prime Radian today.
If you've been holding off on carrying your Prime Radian because nobody makes a holster for it yet, that wait is almost over. Here's what's coming, why it took real tooling work to get here, and what to carry in the meantime if you need something today.
What Makes the Prime Radian Different
The Prime Radian starts life as the Mete MC9 Prime — a pistol we already built a full lineup of holsters for — and then Radian Weapons goes to work on it. The Prime Radian adds the Radian RAMJET barrel and AFTERBURNER compensator up front, along with a Radian backstrap and magwell at the rear. The result is a 3.8-inch barrel (versus 3.64 inches on the standard Prime), an overall length of 6.9 inches, and a claimed reduction in muzzle rise that makes fast follow-up shots noticeably easier to manage. It keeps the 17+1 capacity, the Shield RMSc optic footprint, the Night Fision tritium sights, and the flat-faced trigger that made the standard Prime popular in the first place. MSRP lands at $899.99, and it ships with two 17-round magazines, a hard case, and a tool kit.
We wrote about this collaboration back in January when it was first announced, and we meant it when we said this is a big deal in the firearms world. Compensated carry guns used to mean custom shop pricing. The Prime Radian brings that experience to a price point people can actually justify for an EDC gun.
What's Coming, and What Each Series Gets You
We're bringing four of our core series to the Prime Radian, and pre-orders are open now for all of them:
- Profile+ — our low-profile appendix IWB, built for all-day comfort with an adjustable cant and full sweat shield. This is the one most people will reach for as a daily carry.
- OATH — our ambidextrous, optic-ready IWB. If you're running an RMR or SRO on your Prime Radian's slide and you want a holster that doesn't care which hand you draw with, this is it.
- ARC — our light-bearing IWB with click retention, adapted with the extra clearance the Afterburner compensator needs. Same fixed-retention feel you'd get on our Glock or P365 ARC holsters, just built around the Prime Radian's footprint.
- Contour — our OWB option, for anyone who carries strong-side or wants a range/duty setup rather than deep concealment.
Every one of these carries the same lifetime warranty, same made-in-Oklahoma Kydex construction, and free same-day shipping as the rest of our lineup. Pre-ordering now locks in your spot in the production queue as these come off the CNC and vacuum formers.
What to Carry Right Now
If you already own a Prime Radian and don't want to wait, be straight with yourself about the fit: a standard Mete MC9 Prime holster won't seat properly around that compensator, and we're not going to tell you otherwise just to make a sale. If you're carrying the non-Radian Mete MC9 Prime, though, our full lineup — Profile, Profile+, OATH, ARC, and Contour — is in stock and shipping same-day today. It's a great pistol on its own, and there's no reason to go without a holster while the Prime Radian tooling finishes up.
Canik Prime Radian Holster FAQ
Does Tulster make a holster for the Canik Prime Radian? Yes. Tulster is building Profile+, OATH, ARC, and Contour holsters specifically for the Canik Prime Radian, and pre-orders are open now.
Can I use a Mete MC9 Prime holster on my Prime Radian? No. The Radian RAMJET barrel and AFTERBURNER compensator change the geometry at the front of the slide enough that a standard Mete MC9 Prime holster will not index or seat correctly. Tulster's Prime Radian holsters are being built specifically for this pistol's dimensions.
What is the Canik Prime Radian? The Canik Prime Radian is a compensated 9mm micro-compact pistol built on the Mete MC9 Prime platform in partnership with Radian Weapons. It features a 3.8-inch RAMJET barrel, an AFTERBURNER compensator, a Radian backstrap and magwell, a Shield RMSc optic footprint, Night Fision tritium sights, and 17+1 round capacity. It carries an MSRP of $899.99.
When can I get a Tulster holster for my Canik Prime Radian? Pre-orders are open now. Pre-ordering secures your place in the production queue as these holsters come through our CNC and vacuum-forming process. Plus, you can save 20% by ordering yours today.
Does the Radian Afterburner compensator work with other pistols besides the Canik Prime Radian? Yes. Radian also builds the Ramjet + Afterburner for select Glock, Shadow Systems, Sig Sauer, and Ruger RXM models, and Tulster's ARC series already accommodates several of those platforms.
