The Sig P385 Just Launched. Tulster's Holsters Are Already on Presale.
Sig Sauer pulled the wraps off the P385 this week, and it's the kind of launch that doesn't happen often: five new models built around a genuinely new recoil system, not just a new slide cut on an old frame. We've been watching the specs come in since Monday, and we're ready to say the next part out loud — Tulster is building a full lineup of IWB and OWB holsters for the P385, and presale is open right now at 20% off, applied automatically at checkout. See models here.
If you've already got a P385 on order or you're waiting to see the carry-focused models hit shelves this fall, here's what's actually new about this gun, which holsters we're building first, and how the presale works.
What Makes the P385 Different
Sig's announcement centers on the new SIG Recoil Dampening System, paired with a low bore axis and a precision-cut carbon steel barrel — the combination Sig says cuts muzzle rise by 20 percent or more depending on the model. That's paired with a new modular Fire Control Unit, a redesigned SIG Trigger Block for a cleaner press, and the new MAGSTRAP grip module, which lets you adjust grip length and circumference to your hand rather than picking between a small handful of fixed backstraps. Every model ships with fully ambidextrous controls, an optional manual thumb safety, SIG-LOC PRO optic-ready slide milling, and magazine compatibility with the existing P320 lineup — a nice detail if you're already invested in P320 mags. The full lineup comes in black or coyote brown, with pricing starting at $599.
Sig is rolling out five models total: the MACH3D and COMP, both built around an integral compensator for competition and range use, the FULL for duty-size applications, and the two we care about most as a concealed-carry holster company — the Carry and the Compact.
Carry vs. Compact: Which P385 Are You Actually Carrying?
Both of these are 4-inch-barrel guns, but they're not the same gun. The P385-Carry runs a full-length grip and ships with 17- and 21-round magazines — more capacity in exchange for a bit more grip to conceal. The P385-Compact uses a shorter grip module and 15-round magazines, trading a little capacity for a smaller footprint that's easier to disappear under a shirt, especially if you've got smaller hands or you carry appendix. Neither one has published overall dimensions or weight from Sig yet, but the shorter grip module on the Compact is the same idea behind why we build separate holster geometry for compact and full-size variants of the same platform elsewhere in our lineup — a shorter grip changes where the holster needs to index, even when the barrel length is identical.
If you're deciding between them, the short version is: Carry if capacity is the priority, Compact if concealment and grip size are. We'll have holsters built for both.
Tulster's Full P385 Holster Lineup — On Presale at 20% Off
We're bringing our full IWB and OWB catalog to the P385 platform, starting with the Carry and Compact models:
- Profile — our low-profile appendix/IWB holster, trimmed with no excess Kydex and an undercut trigger guard for a higher grip on the draw. The one most people will reach for as an everyday carry rig.
- Profile+ — the same minimalist Profile geometry with an optic-ready cut, for anyone running a red dot on the P385's SIG-LOC PRO slide.
- OATH — our ambidextrous, optic-ready IWB with adjustable retention shims. Built for people who want a holster that doesn't care which hand draws, and want to fine-tune retention as the holster breaks in.
- ARC — our light-bearing IWB with click retention, for anyone running a weapon light on the P385.
- Contour — our OWB option, for range day, training, or open carry rather than deep concealment.
Every one of these carries our standard lifetime warranty, free same-day shipping, and hassle-free returns — same as the rest of our lineup, and made in our own shop in Jenks, Oklahoma. Presale is open now on all five builds at 20% off, with the discount applied automatically at checkout — no code needed. Ordering now locks in your spot in the production queue as these come off the line alongside Sig's own fall and early-winter rollout of the pistols themselves. Pre-order here.
Why We're Doing This as a Presale, Not Just a Pre-Order
Building a holster for a gun that isn't fully in shooters' hands yet means working from spec sheets and sample dimensions rather than a warehouse full of pistols to mold against — that's true every time a new platform launches, and it's exactly why we treat these first production runs as a presale window rather than pretending stock is sitting on a shelf. The 20% savings is our way of saying thanks for ordering early and trusting us to get the fit right the first time, the same way we'd want a holster maker to treat us if the roles were reversed.
Sig P385 Holster FAQ
Does Tulster make a holster for the Sig Sauer P385? Yes. Tulster is building Profile, Profile+, OATH, ARC, and Contour holsters for the Sig P385, starting with the Carry and Compact models. Presale is open now at 20% off.
What's the difference between the Sig P385-Carry and P385-Compact? The P385-Carry uses a full-length grip module with 17- and 21-round magazines. The P385-Compact uses a shorter grip module with 15-round magazines, trading some capacity for a smaller, easier-to-conceal footprint. Both use a 4-inch barrel.
How does the Tulster P385 presale discount work? The 20% discount is applied automatically at checkout on all P385 holster orders — no promo code required. Ordering during the presale window secures your place in the production queue.
When will my Tulster P385 holster ship? Production is timed alongside Sig's own P385 rollout, which the company has said will land in fall and early winter 2026. Presale orders are filled in the order they're received once tooling is finalized.
Does the Sig P385 use the same magazines as the P320? Yes. Sig has confirmed the P385 lineup is compatible with existing P320 magazines, in addition to its own dedicated magazines.
Is the Sig P385 optic-ready? Yes. Every P385 model ships with Sig's SIG-LOC PRO optic-ready slide milling.
