Springfield Armory's latest innovation, the Echelon 4.0 Compact, is here and ready to shake up the EDC world. Springfield Armory has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality firearms that blend cutting-edge innovation with time-tested craftsmanship. Today, they continue this legacy, delivering a wide range of firearms tailored to meet the end user's needs. Among their latest offerings is the Echelon Compact, a firearm designed to set new reliability, modularity, and performance standards for concealed carry and personal defense.

THE SLIDE

The Echelon Compact resembles the Glock 19 in size and comes with various customizable options, from Tritium Sight options to a Threaded Barrel option. Like the full-size version, it maintains identical aggressive slide serrations, perfect for press checks. It also comes with its standard "U-Dot System," which offers an enormous rear sight for fast target acquisition. Of course, it wouldn't be an Echelon without the Variable Interface System (VIS) for mounting optics. The patent-pending mounting system allows for over 30 of today's most popular optics to mount directly to the slide without adapter plates. This innovative system has driven the industry forward, and a very similar version of it can be seen on The Ruger RXM

Inside the fully ambidextrous Echelon Compact is the patent-pending Central Operating Group, a stainless-steel chassis that is entirely self-contained and is the serialized part of the firearm. Meaning that it can be instantly moved to available grip modules. The pistol comes standard with the small grip module and three interchangeable backstraps, while larger grip modules can be purchased in addition.

THE GRIP

The Echelon Compact has its predecessors' stippled grip to enable Regarding capacity, the Echelon Compact has a 15-round flush fit magazine and an extended 18-round magazine. It will also take Echelon Full-Size mags as well. It comes with full ambi controls, making it readily available for right and left-handed shooters.

In conclusion, the Echelon 4.0 Compact takes all of the features of the full-size model and shrinks them down into a formidable EDC option.

PRICING

Pricing-wise, the Compact costs around $679 to $739, depending on the model and features you want, making it the same price as the Echelon Full-Size.
