Why Your EDC Should Have A Weapon Light
Posted by Tulster on Aug 19th 2024
In this EDC tactical world, gear is one of the first topics to come up.
While this is a topic based primarily on preference and comfort level, there are just some inarguable perks of running high-performance gear. That said, we will be discussing the utility of a weapon light.
Weapon lights are frequently used by some of the highest-operating units around, from Special Forces to SWAT teams and even the Secret Service (lol). The following blog lists some of the biggest reasons to run a light on your handgun.
TARGET IDENTIFICATION
This is perhaps the most important argument for weapon lights. The fact that we are not guaranteed a clear and sunny sight picture in every environment means we should be ready for anything, especially in a real-world self-defense scenario where the slightest competitive advantage could save your life.
FREE HAND
Instead of having to run a flashlight in addition to your handgun, a weapon light allows you to operate it with just a flick of your finger. Thus, you can keep both hands on the firearm at all times.
CCW FRIENDLY
